17 mach 2™ — Speed machine
As the latest introduction in rimfire shooting, the 17 Mach
2 offers a varmint and plinking caliber that packs a serious
punch, while still being economical to shoot. At speeds of
2,100 feet per second, the 17 Mach 2 is nearly twice as fast
as a 22 Long Rifle and shoots seven inches flatter at 150
yards. With such speed and flat trajectory, the new Mach 2
delivers exceptional accuracy, making it a perfect caliber
for varmints, target shooting and teaching young shooters
marksmanship skills. Look for the awesome 17 Mach 2,
chambered in the new BL-17 rifles. They offer all the
mechanical advantages of the BL-22 in this fast, accurate
caliber.
Action Short-throw lever action. Lever travels
through an arc of only 33° and carries the trigger with it,
preventing finger pinch between lever and trigger on the
upward swing.
Receiver Forged and milled steel. Grooved for
mounting a scope.
Sights Precision, adjustable folding leaf rear
sight. Raised bead front sight.
Barrel Recessed muzzle.
Trigger Clean and crisp without creep.
Approximately 5 lbs. pull. Trigger is gold colored on Grade
II model.
Safety A disconnect system is designed to prevent
firing until the lever and breech are fully closed and
pressure is released from and reapplied to the trigger.
Magazine 22 caliber models are designed to handle
22 caliber ammunition in any combination from tubular
magazine with a magazine capacity of 15 Long Rifles, 17
Longs or 22 Shorts. 17 caliber models hold 15 rounds of 17
Mach 2™ ammunition only.
Stock and Forearm Forearm and straight grip
buttstock are shaped from polished, American walnut. Cut
checkering on Grade II model.
Scopes Grooved receiver will accept most groove or
tip-off type mounts or receiver sights.
Engraving Grade II receiver and trigger guard are
engraved with tasteful scroll designs.
Safety lock All Browning firearms are shipped with
a free trigger lock, cable lock, padlock or chamber lock,
depending on model, to assist in the safe storage of
firearms.
