The legendary handling, quickness and light weight of the Model 70 Featherweight™ has made it famous among hunters. No wonder it's been proclaimed "the bolt-action rifle of the century." The classic Model 70 action with Controlled Round Feed is highlighted by a jeweled bolt and knurled bolt handle. The popular angled comb stock still features the Schnabel fore-end — just like the originals — and is satin finished with elegant cut checkering. Available in the most popular long, short and super short action calibers, including WSM and WSSM calibers — even the new 325 WSM — in both left- and right-handed models. A Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad is standard on WSM calibers. Other calibers include the traditional Winchester® Model 70 recoil pad.

With the traditional, cut checkering pattern and handsome Schnabel fore-end of the classic Featherweight, the flagship of the Model 70 line takes on a new and exciting look with a weather-resistant stainless barrel and receiver. And while the looks of the new Featherweight set it apart from the competition, don't overlook the Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad on WSM models, along with its Controlled Round Feed action, convenient three-position safety and dead-on accuracy. The new Featherweight, Stainless is chambered in all WSSM and WSM calibers, including the new 325 WSM, and a variety of standard calibers. Standard calibers include the traditional Winchester® Model 70 recoil pad.
