Buy the gun, not the store. We offer
near wholesale prices to the public on quality firearm brands. By keeping our overhead low, we're
saving customers tens to hundreds of dollars on new firearms. We are located at
2705 East Ozark Ave in Gastonia, North Carolina. Email
Please note: If you're not ready to buy
the firearm, don't ask for a price quote. We get swamped daily from people
"kicking tires." Prices and availability change. We value our
time. Thank you for your understanding.
Also note: The higher the retail price
of the gun, the better our prices will look. We sell a lot of firearms in the
$1500 - $4500 price range. For guns costing less than $300 you might be better
off supporting your local dealer.

Frequently Asked Questions - Current as of 16
March 2008 |
| Why the heck is there not a phone number listed?
I'm ready to order!!! |
| Because I don't want to be bombarded with phone calls asking for
advice, specs, tips and quotes. I would have to hire 20 people to answer phone calls.
Less Employees=Better prices for you. If you
want to do business with me, email for the latest price.
Prices and availability change.
When I respond to your request for a quote, my signature box will have
my phone number. |
| How come the price you quoted is higher than the
price listed on your website? I think you should honor your prices! |
| Prices change. My website does not have a shopping cart.
Please
email for the latest prices and don't let it ruin your day if the price
doesn't match the web price. Also, some of my pages are outdated. Email
for the latest. |
| I sent you a price request and like your price.
How do we proceed? |
| Your first step is to contact your local dealer to be sure I'm
saving you money. Ask them two questions. How much for the firearm you
are interested in buying and how much they charge to do an "FFL
transfer". An "FFL transfer" is how I can legally ship firearms to
another dealer and have that dealer do the federal and state paperwork
to transfer the firearm to you.
FFL=Federal Firearms License |
| How much will the receiving dealer charge me to do
the "FFL transfer"? |
| Gun dealers and pawn shops can charge whatever they want. Most
charge between $20-$30 for this service. Some California dealers are
charging $150. Shop around. The next step is for you to call me if you have a receiving dealer
lined up and are ready to order. My signature box at the bottom of my
email will have my phone number. |
| How much is shipping? |
| $20 on most long guns under $1000
$30 for long guns $1000-$2000
Most handguns are $25 Insurance and Handling is included in this price.
We don't slip extra fees in like the other online sellers. |
| I noticed some online sellers are shipping with no
insurance. Do you insure my purchase? |
| Absolutely! Everything I ship is fully insured. |

Buying Tip: The best way to save the most
money buying firearms on the internet is to find a stocking dealer with
NOS (new old stock) at the old prices. Gun prices have and will continue
to climb.
Everything I sell is current production at current prices. I try NOT
to keep a big inventory. I get handguns overnight. Long guns in 3-4
days. This business plan has worked great for the last 8 years. My
prices are pretty much middle of the road. The biggest reason to buy
from Ozark Guns: you are dealing directly with the owner. It's a
one person show. My word is my reputation and I won't make promises I
can't keep. Bob Kotula |
| Do you charge extra for credit cards? |
| No way! It's against the rules of agreement with
Visa and MasterCard. I never charge extra! I am set up to process Visa
and MasterCard only. |
| Do you sell used guns? |
| No. Only new in the box with all paperwork. |
| Can you locate a used gun for me? |
| No. I don't sell used and I place a high value on my time. |
| Can you put night sights on the new gun I order
from you? |
| No. I never make modifications. How they come from the factory is
how I sell them. |
| Can you export? |
| Ozark Guns has been selling firearms on the
internet since 1999. We ship nationwide but it's illegal to export. |
| What if I buy the gun and decide I don't like it?
Do you offer a 3 day return? |
| Absolutely not on a brand
new gun. Know what you want before you order. Ozark Guns is
set up for people who know exactly what they want and have a receiving
dealer lined up.(If I
were a used gun shop I would definitely give a 3 day inspection period.) |
| Can you ship the gun directly to my house? |
| No. I have to ship to a dealer near you. Please contact your local
dealer and ask them two questions before you email for a quote; how much
for the firearm if you purchase it from them and how much to do an FFL
transfer. I should be able to save you money, especially on firearms
costing more than $500. For guns costing less than $300 please support
your local dealer. |
| What happens if the gun needs to be repaired?
Where do I send it? |
| Your new firearm needs to be shipped to the maker. It carries a full
warranty with them. Everything I sell is NIB (new in the box) |
|
Do I have to pay sales tax? |
|
Only if you live in North Carolina. (6.75%) Any other state you
pay zero sales tax. (another advantage buying from me.) |
|
Do you price match? Lot's of other companies appear to be doing it. |
|
I've been selling firearms on the internet now for 8 years.
I never price match. If you think you've found a better deal on
the internet, buy from them.
If you ask me to match a price,
we will not be doing business at any price.
I'm convinced Ozark Guns
has the BEST customer service in the business. No shopping cart here.
Price Matchers= for the
most part, dishonest people who love to find outdated prices in hopes a
legitimate seller will match. These are people who knowingly leave off
the 3% credit card surcharge and don’t add the extra money for insurance
when comparing prices. Dishonest you bet! Shop elsewhere.
Slugs = People who want sellers to “honor” old outdated web prices.
If you fit in this category, steer clear of Ozark Guns. I will not do
business with you at any price. Bob Kotula – Owner – Ozark Guns
Great
Customers = Ask for the current price using the model number from the
manufacture website. They realize prices can change and roll with it.
These are the people Ozark Guns wants as customers. We have quite a
loyal following. |

Buying Tip: Thinking
about buying from an online dealer? Do a Google search. Example:
Type in "TopGlock problems" and see what you come up with. There's more
to selling firearms on the internet than having a fancy website and a
shopping cart. |
|
|
|
I'm a local customer. I found a used gun online that I would like to
buy. Do you do FFL transfers? |
|
You bet. I'm the most affordable in town.
$15 per serial number. A copy
of my FFL license is here
FFLsigned2.pdf Please try to use UPS. They deliver
twice a day and have the keys to the lock up facility. UPS has the best
service!!! |
|
I want to buy an expensive Browning Citori shotgun. Can you send me
pictures of the wood before I spend so much money? |
|
All of my firearms come from distributors in factory sealed boxes. I
don't open them. How they come from the factory is how I sell them. If
you are the type person who needs to see, feel, touch and smell before
you buy, Ozark Guns is not for you. If you don't like the wood, you are
stuck with it. (For what it's worth, 8 years and no one has complained.) |
|
How come you don't know the answers to my technical questions!? |
|
I don't answer tech questions. Ozark Guns is basically a shipping
facility. It's boxes in and boxes out. I don't answer which gun is best
for me questions either. The internet is full of "expert" advice on the
best gun to buy. Ozark Guns is set up to save money for the
buyer who knows the exact model they want. |
|
Please note: I can only get
current models from the manufacturers websites. Just because an
older model is listed on my site, it doesn't mean I have it or can get
it. It's an outdated model. Use it for reference.
Also: If no one else can get the
firearm you are looking for, I can't get it either. In the future
I will list the date I put the firearm on my website so you will have a
reference as to how old the pricing is. |

Have a question? Please email. I want your business!
Thank You. Bob Kotula / Owner Buying online made easy since
