The Cowboy Competition Models have special “factory-tuning” operations performed on them to enhance levering speed and target acquisition. “Tuned” parts include: finger lever, finger lever plunger spring, hammer, breech bolt, breech bolt lock, carrier, hammer spring, and ejector.

This model is chambered in 38 Special and — new for 2003 — 45 Colt. It is “factory-tuned” to meet the demands of competitive shooters, and features a 20" octagon barrel for quick sight alignment, and a western-style straight-grip walnut stock. Sights are traditional Marble adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and Marble carbine front. The receiver, bolt, trigger guard plate and lever of the 38 Special are color case-hardened for an authentic 19th Century look. (The 45 Colt has a blued bolt.) To accommodate tang sight installation, the serial number is located on the left side of the receiver.

Model 1895 Cowboy

This authentically Old Western-styled 45/70 features a 26" tapered octagon barrel with deep-cut Ballard-type rifling, 9-shot tubular magazine, adjustable Marble semi-buckhorn rear and Marble carbine front sight. The American black walnut stock has a straight-grip, a hard rubber butt plate and a blued steel fore-end cap. To accommodate tang sight installation, the serial number is located on the left side of the receiver.

Our Model 336 Cowboy lever action in classic 38/55, fits the Old West image. It features a 24" tapered octagon barrel with deep-cut Ballard-type rifling, a full-length magazine, and a straight-grip walnut stock. To accommodate tang sight installation, the serial number is located on the left side of the receiver.
